I know, I already posted some pictures of the beach and the sea.. But I cant get enough of it. 

And to be honest, Its all I did today after dance classes.

I just love how dramatic the sky looks when the sun goes down and I love to see only the silhouettes of the people passing by cause the sun is blending.

I weiß, ich habe schonmal ein Bild vom Strand gepostet aber um ehrlich zu sein: das war das einzige was ich heute nach dem Tanzen gemacht habe. 

I liebe es einfach, wie dramatisch der Himmel aussieht, wenn die Sonne untergeht und ich liebe es, nur die Silhouetten der Menschen zu sehen die vorübergehen da die Sonne so sehr blendet.

It's Mumbai #1 The Market

As I told you in one of my previous posts, I want to show you some different places of Mumbai. 

The posts in which I will do that will be named "It's Mumbai #X" 

Today I want to show you one of the most essential places: The market. 

You should know that it is not normal at all to go to a supermarket or a grocery store to buy vegetables and fruits that are packed in plastic or deep frosted. 

In India the people go to the market in the morning or evening to get fresh vegetables and fruits directly from the fields. 

Next to almost every train station and in every District of Mumbai you will find such a market. 

Next to herbs, vegetables and fruits you can also get clothes and some accessories such as traditional bangles and ornaments there. 

I would love to show you many more pictures of the market but someone started screaming "foreigner with camera!" and suddenly everyone was staring at me. 

So I decided to leave that place as fast as I could. 

In the afternoon I found this advertising on the street that just made me kind of speechless... But look on your own. 

Wie ich euch schon in einem vorherigen Post gesagt habe, möchte ich euch ein paar Orte in Mumbai zeigen.

Diese Posts werde ich "It's Mumbai #X" nennen. 

Heute möchte ich euch einen ziemlich wichtigen Ort zeigen: den Markt. 

Ihr solltet wissen dass man hier nicht einfach so zu einem Supermarkt gehen kann und Obst und Gemüse verpackt und zum Teil tiefgefroren kaufen kann.

In Indien gehen die Leute morgens oder Abends zum Markt und kaufen frisches Obst und Gemüse welches direkt vom Feld kommt. 

Neben fast jedem Bahnhof und in jeden Bezirk Mumbai gibt es einen dieser Märkte. 

Neben Gewürzen, Obst und Gemüse kann man auch Klamotten und Accessoires wie traditionelle Armbänder und Ornamente bekommen. 

Ich hätte euch so gerne noch andere Bilder vom Markt gezeigt aber plötzlich hat jemand geschrien:

"Ausländer mit Kamera!" Und auf einmal wurde ich von allen Seiten angestarrt. 

Also habe ich mich dazu entschieden diesen Platz so schnell wie möglich zu verlassen. 

Heute Nachmittag habe ich noch diese Werbung gesehen die mich ein wenig stutzig gemacht hat... Aber schaut selbst..

Stardust

 Today I had a very chilled day. It was the birthday of one of my friends. 

First we had to go to our bollywood dance classes and afterwords we hung around at the coast. 

Near us there was someone selling roasted corn, but the wind blew the sparks everywhere so it would look like little fireworks. 

Later we went to a restaurant to let the day end. 

Heute war ein sehr entspannter Tag. Einer meiner Freunde hatte Geburtstag.

Früh sind wir zu unseren Bollywood Tanzklassen gegangen und danach sind wir an die küste gefahren und haben uns den Sonnenuntergang angeguckt. 

In der nähe hat ein Junge gebratene Maiskolben verkauft. Der Wind hat die Funken in alle Richtungen geblasen so dass es aussah wie ein kleines Feuerwerk. 

Später sind wir zu einem Restaurant gegangen um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen.

A Little Nothing

Today the sun is shining as if there was no tomorrow. It is a Sunday and I am one of those lazy people who absolutely don't do anything when they don't have to.

Well, most if the time. 

So I placed myself to the window and started reading my new book which I bought yesterday.

I made a little break when I reached chapter 24 and realized that the half of the book is over already.

I should stop reading books so fast... 

Now I will go down to the street to get a masala chai. See you in a bit 

Heute scheint die Sonne als gäbe es kein Morgen mehr! Es ist Sonntag und ich bin einer dieser Faulen Leute die absolut nichts tun wenn sie es nicht müssen. 

Naja, meistens...

Also habe ich mich ans Fenster gepflanzt und angefangen mein Neues Buch zu lesen welches ich mir gestern gekauft habe. 

Ich habe eine kleine Pause eingelegt als ich gemerkt hatte dass ich schon bei Kapitel 24 bin und das Buch schon halb zu Ende ist. 

Ich sollte aufhören Bücher so zu verschlingen... 

Jetzt werd ich erst mal runter auf die Straße gehen und mit einen Masala Chai Tee holen, der Teemann ist da. Bis dann

Dont't Cry Little Cow

Today is the 64th Republic Day of India!

It is a holiday and everywhere you can see people with the indian flag on their chest or in their hand walking down the streets.

Everyone was kinda happy today! Except for the cow I saw today on my way to the train station. It looked like it would cry. Don't ask me why, maybe its normal and not an expression for any emotional feelings ^^

Later a really sweet girl came to me and tried to sell me some India flags. When I told her that I had no money, she asked me to take a picture of her. Aint she looking nice?

Well anyways: Today I end up having a nice India button on my chest and some German chocolate in my hand to have a little bit of home with me :)

Heute ist der 64. Tag der Republik in Indien!

Es ist ein Feiertag weshalb man fast alle Leute draußen auf den Straßen sieht mit Indischen Fahnen auf der Brust oder in der Hand.

Alle waren ziemlich gut drauf heute! Ausgenommen von der Kuh die ich Heute auf dem Weg zum Bahnhof gesehen habe. Sie sah aus als würde sie weinen. Fragt mich nicht warum, vielleicht hat das ja gar nichts mit Gefühlen bei ner Kuh zu tun ^^

Später kam ein ziemlich süßes Mädchen auf mich zu um mir Indien Fahnen zu verkaufen. Als ich ihr gesagt habe dass ich kein Geld habe wollte sie dass ich ein Foto von ihr mache. Sieht sie nicht hüpsch aus?

Naja, am Ende des Tages hat mir doch noch jemand einen Indien Button verkaufen können und ich habe einen Laden gefunden wo es Ritter Sport gibt. Ein paar Heimatgefühle kommen doch schon auf..

Hello everyone!

Since I go to Bollywood dance classes (yeah, you read right :p ) near the beach, I went there

today with some of my friends and spend some nice hours... 

For Mumbai it is a very tidy and quiet place. And when you are lucky, there are not to many people there.

The picture of the helicopter is for my 50f project for the word: Up.

Da ich zu Bollywood Tanzklassen gehe (Ja, ihr habt richtig gelesen :p) die in der nähe vom Strand stattfinden bin ich da Heute mal mit meinen Freunden hingegangen um uns die Zeit ein bisschen zu vertreiben...

Für Mumbai ist dieser Stand ein echt sauberer und stiller Ort. Wenn man glück hat und zur richtigen Zeit kommt sind auch nicht ganz so viele Leute da. 

Das Bild vom Helikopter gehört zu meinem Projekt 50f zum Wort: Oben.

Two pigeons I saw today in the morning.

On the first view they seem to fuse together into one Bird.

Zwei Tauben welche ich Heute Morgen auf der Terrasse gesehen habe. 

Auf den ersten Blick sieht es so aus als würden sie zusammenschmelzen zu einem einzigen Vogel.

They Came, They Raved, We Loved!

The reason why I couldn't post anything yesterday is fast to explain:

I was busy with dancing, singing and enjoying at the last concert of the Swedish House Mafia in India.

In general I am not the biggest house music fan but I would never miss a huge house concert with all my friends!

Actually the Swedish House Mafia was supposed to have their concert already in November in Mumbai.

Me and my friends where really excited to go already at that time. 

But unfortunately they cancelled the concert one hour before it was supposed to start because of the death of an politician. 

So after 3 month of waiting the concert couldn't have been better!

I took a whole bunch of videos but I was way to busy with dancing so the quality is really not adorable...

Anyways, I found you live video from vimeo which shows exactly the atmosphere at the concert.

It is a must watch my friends!

Der Grund warum ich gestern nicht zum Posten kam ist schnell erklärt:

Ich war sehr beschäftigt auf dem letzten Konzert der Swedish House Mafia in Indien zu tanzen, singen ausfreaken was auch immer ^^

Generell bin ich kein großer Fan von House Musik aber ein Housekonzert mit all meinen Freunden kann ich mir dann doch nicht entgehen lassen!

Eigentlich sollte die Swedish House Mafia schon im November in Mumbai auftreten, doch leider wurde
das Konzert eine Stunde vor Beginn kurzfristig abgesagt da ein Politiker verstorben ist. 

Und als dann das Konzert nach 3 Monaten warten endlich stattfand hätte es nicht besser sein können!
Ich habe eigentlich ziemlich viele Videos aufgenommen, da ich aber nicht stillstehen konnte sind diese sehr verwackelt und zum Teil nicht gut fokussiert... 

Immerhin habe ich euch ein Video auf vimeo rausgesucht welches so ziemlich die Stimmung auf dem Konzert wiedergibt.

Ein must-watch!

It's All Dipped In Neon Blue

As soon as I woke up today, I realized that I catched a cold in the last days. 

For me this is like the last stadium before "impossible" to get a cold in a hot country like India. 

But anyways. For timepass I took some pictures in the morning from our terrace

and literally, the whole city looked like someone dipped it in a pot of neon blue color overnight!

Als ich heute Morgen aufgestanden bin habe ich sofort gemerkt, dass ich mir in den letzten Tagen einen Schnupfen eingeholt habe.

Das gehört für mich zum letzten Stadium vor "unmöglich" in so einem heißen Land wie Indien. 

Naja, um mir die Zeit zu vertreiben habe ich morgens auf unserer Terrasse ein paar Fotos gemacht.

Und wortwörtlich, die ganze Stadt sah so aus, als hätte sie jemand über Nacht in einen Großen Topf voller neon - blauer Farbe getunkt!

Mixtape 2013 January - Januar

Aand a second project that I would like to share with you!

It is called: Mixtape 2013, founded by Annie, from "and so annie waits" *Click*

The theme for January is called: 

My Song 2012.

It was really not easy for me, to find a song, that describes my whole year 2012, but

I decided that its the song "We are Young" from "Fun."

It is a song that i listened often, when I was with my friends from school in Berlin.

We would listen to this song and just live the moment. 

And in addition to that, it was the last song I listened to, before I left Germany by plane to India.

Ich glaube aber der Song "We are Young" von "Fun." passt am ehesten. 

Diesen Song habe ich in meinen Letzten Schultagen mit meinen Freunden sehr oft gehört und 

gesungen und dabei den Moment gelebt!

Außerdem war es der letzte Song den ich gehört habe bevor ich Deutschland verlassen habe. Im Flugzeug auf dem Weg nach Indien.

50f Leicht - Light

I would like to touch them, to put them in my pocket and keep them forever.

Sie sitzen auf dem Sand. Leichter als Federn, so delikat und vergänglich zugleich. 

Ich würde sie gerne berühren, in meine Tasche stecken und für immer behalten.

Wenn das nur funktioniert hätte.

A few weeks ago I found the project 50f on a Blog named "Irgendschön" CLICK

The idea of the project is to improve the ability of taking pictures that match to certain terms. 

There are 50 of those terms and my target is to finish that project within one year. 

Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich das Projekt 50f auf dem Blog "Irgendschön" entdeckt. *Klick*

Die Idee des Projektes ist es, die Fähigkeit gezieltes themenbezogenes Fotografieren zu üben.

Since I live in Mumbai at the moment, I don't want to withhold you the everydaylife, the sights

and the people.

The Magic

It all started with a camera.

I still remember that moment when I opened the lens cap the first time to take the first shot on that camera.
 I cant explain it.
 Its Magical.

Ich kann mich immer noch an den Moment erinnern an dem ich den Linsenschutz das erste mal aufmachen durfte um das erste Foto zu schießen.
 Ich kann es nicht beschreiben.
