Bye Bye January, Bye Bye Folks, See You After Holidays.

This January...

... I went into the big park of the abandoned Airport in Berlin with L.

I was amazed by my new camera lens and it's ability to capture the greatest colors (this one is not edited)..

I spend a lot of time sketching and drawing. This is the face of my sister. Unfinished. And a bit yellow.

I learned new songs on the piano and also started to compose a few...

...I gazed through a lot of shop windows and I loved especially this one, with all the mannequins dancing around.

The man with the soup bubbles fascinated me,

I cut off half of my hair, 

And I got a new pair of glasses (sorry, this picture is a little bit blurred). 

This was my start of the year. The first 31 Pages out of 365. 

Tomorrow I will leave Berlin for winter vacations, and I will see you soon, after that! Stay warm and cozy <3

Ice Cold Winter Walk

Jetzt ist der Winter nun auch in Berlin angekommen. In wenigen Tagen sind die Seen vereist und Schnee bedeckt die Wiesen... Eindrücke aus einem eiskalten Winterausflug in den Park.

Happy Birthday Thistle & Weeds!

Heute vor einem Jahr habe ich Thistle & Weeds ins Leben gerufen. Seitdem ist hier und auch in meinem Leben eine Menge geschehen: Ich war in Indien und bin quer durchs Land gezogen, ich habe angefangen, viel zu Fotografieren und mir eine Canon EOS 600D angeschafft, ich habe auch in Indien auf dem Markt eine Analoge Canon gekauft, welche mir einige Zeit später in der Wüste kaputt ging. Außerdem war ich zwischendurch wieder Zuhause in Berlin, habe dort einige Dinge erledigt und bin letzten Sommer nach einem Jahr voller Abenteuern endgültig zurück nach Berlin gegangen. Den Koffer voller Erinnerungen und den Kopf voller Ideen, Wünsche, Vorstellungen, Fragen und Wundern bin ich angekommen und habe mich eingelebt. 

Der Alltag hat mich inzwischen wieder ganz und gar eingenommen doch die Erinnerungen an Indien bleiben. Um es euch leichter zu machen, auch mal meine Bilder aus Indien zu sehen, bin ich gerade dabei ein Inhaltsverzeichnis einzurichten. Das "Jahresupgrade" sozusagen.

Für das nächste Jahr Thistle & Weeds, habe ich mir vorgenommen wie immer, mehr zu fotografieren, weiter regelmäßig zu Posten und zu schreiben, euren Kommentaren regelmäßig zu antworten und den Spaß an der Sache nicht zu verlieren.

One year ago, I created this space as an alternative diary and place to share my memories, pictures and stories with you. In that year, a lot of good and bad things happened to me and I grew a lot. I lived in India, travelled through the country, came back to berlin for two weeks, went back to Mumbai and finally went home last summer. With my suitcase full of memories and my Head full of ideas, wishes, questions about life and the future, I arrived in Berlin and got used to German culture again. 

The everyday life has taken me once again but the memories from India will stay forever. To make it easier for you to have a look on my stories in India, I am about to set a table of content for you. As a "birthday upgrade". 

For the next year of Thistle & Weeds, I plan to take photos regularly and stay motivated to share my stories with you.

New Love

Ich habe mich eine Weile nicht mehr bei euch gemeldet.. Es ist einfach nicht sehr viel passiert und ich war trotzdem die meiste Zeit in der Weltgeschichte unterwegs. Ich habe mir vor einer oder zwei Wochen bei einem Internetversand, ebay Ein neues Objektiv bestellt und bin heute wie eine blöde durch die Stadt gerannt und habe damit belanglose Fotos von Ampeln, Schaufenstern, Seifenblasen, Kindern und Erwachsenen, Touristen Fassaden und Straßenbahnen gemacht. Tja. Was soll ich sagen? Ich habe mich Hals über Kopf darin verliebt und kann es nicht mehr aus den Händen legen...

I didn't post anything for a quite long time. It's just that nothing really happened and I wasn't home most of the time. One or two weeks ago, I bought a new Lens for my camera and it arrived yesterday! I run outside today and took pictures of streetlights, boutiques, kids and their parents, tourists, houses and the tram. Well.. I really love it!

About New Beginnings And Old Habits

Das neue Jahr hat begonnen, man macht sich Vorsätze und versucht sich ein bisschen zu sortieren, erlebtes zu verarbeiten und sich auf ein neues Jahr vorzubereiten. Ich habe mir um ehrlich zu sein nicht sehr viel vorgenommen, außer ein wenig mehr zu Photographieren, auch mehr mit Konzepten  zu arbeiten und spannende Orte zu finden. Hier noch ein Foto aus dem alten Jahr, von einer spontanen Nacht - Fotoaktion. 

The new year started and people have good intentions for the coming time. To be honest, I didn't think of a lot of things I want to do different in 2014 other than to take more Photos and to start experimenting with conceptual photography. This is an Image I took "last year" during a spontanious late - night shoot.
